Prazdroj Recognised as a Trendsetter in Sustainability

Our Czech and Slovak brewer Plzeňský Prazdroj recieved two prestigious awards in 2022 TOP Responsible Company. The professional jury recognized Prazdroj´s Sustainability Report as the best one in Czechia. At the same time, Prazdroj received the top prize within the entire competition and became Trendsetter among large companies. The prize was awarded to Prazdroj for setting trends in the area of corporate responsibility in the long term, as well as for new inspirational developments in the area of sustainability. The alliance Byznys pro společnost (Business for Society) has been giving these awards since 2011, and we have regularly been ranked among the top ones.

Pilsner Urquell celebrates 180 years as world’s first golden pilsner

Pilsner Urquell, the world’s original golden pilsner, is celebrating 180 years of putting foam smiles on people’s faces. First brewed on the 5th October 1842, through its iconic pilsner style, the brand, which is part of Asahi Europe & International, has inspired thousands of other pilsner beers around the world since it was first brewed on 5th October 1842.

Gambrinus Celebrates 150 years. Cheers!

One of the most popular Czech beer brands has just celebrated a major anniversary. 150 years ago, a group of entrepreneurs and businessmen met in a Pilsen pub and decided to establish the second modern brewery in town. Before long, the foundation stone was laid, and only a year later, in December 1870, the first barrels of the new beer were being sold to customers. Thus, Pilsen took another important step to becoming the beer capital of the country.
