Peroni Nastro Azzurro encapsulates not only the exuberant Italian-style but also the authentic taste of Italy. Brewed with the same flair through three generations of master brewers, Peroni Nastro Azzurro uses only the finest ingredients. The exclusive Nostrano dell’Isola maize and 100% Italian malt make a beer with a crisp and clean taste. This iconic beer’s story of taste and provenance relies on the ability to grow Italian barley and maize sustainably.
Campus Peroni was born in June 2018, with a mission to nurture talent and grow future generations of people passionate about quality and sustainability. It was created by bringing together, for the first time, Birra Peroni – Asahi’s beer company in Italy, Saplo Malting Plant, CREA (National Research Centre for Agriculture) and the Agriculture Departments of six Universities in Italy in a unique centre of excellence.
The Campus project includes training sessions, field visits, events and congresses. The students of the six universities have the opportunity to follow its educational path, with a focus on beer barley cultivation and sustainability. The farmers in the Birra Peroni supply chain have become real tutors. They guide the students in learning techniques and models of the cultivation process, the malting process, and the management of a modern farm.
Campus Peroni promotes training and innovation based on two critical pillars of our beer quality: sustainable cultivation of beer barley and 100% Italian Malt. It enhances a culture of excellence and sustainability in the agricultural and cereal sector. It is a model of exchange between research, training, innovation and agriculture, building a strong network and benchmarks for the progress of the supply chain.
