Across the Asahi Group, we work with trusted suppliers globally to source the highest quality ingredients, products and services in a responsible manner. This approach to sourcing reflects the core principles of our parent company, Asahi Group Holdings.
Our ability to ensure the quality of our beers is dependent on working with established sourcing partners that fully understand our values and expectations.
In our supply chain engagements all our employees adhere to our core principles of business conduct and ethics which set out that honesty, integrity and fairness are expected in all aspects of our business.
All our suppliers are required to do the same by following the policies and code of conduct set out below in delivering their services and products to our businesses.
We do not permit the direct or indirect offer, payment, solicitation or acceptance of any improper payments (for example bribes or illegal gratuities) in any form. We support and require our suppliers to apply laws that prohibit improper payments within or outside the borders of countries in which Asahi International operates.
Supplier Code of Conduct
The minimum standards of conduct we expect from our suppliers are set out in the supplier code of conduct. Our approach is about working to understand challenges, encourage improvements, and empower suppliers to take ownership throughout the value chain, in addition to monitoring compliance. Equally, we are considerate of local factors and challenges faced by our suppliers in the different parts of the world.
This code covers five key areas:
- Human rights and labour standards
- Health and safety
- Business integrity
- Environmental sustainability
- Working with our suppliers on meeting the supplier code standards
The supplier code of conduct is enforced contractually and we expect our suppliers to constantly monitor their own and their suppliers' compliance.
