Financial Accountant - French Speaking

The role

We are currently seeking a charismatic French Speaking Financial Accountant with exceptional organisational skills to provide accounting and reporting support to the UK Finance Manager for the R2R workstream for Asahi Premium Brands in France and partner markets from the day to day financial issues impacting these companies, budget / profit forecasts, audits to the month end financial reporting process.

This will be a varied role that requires strong accounting and SAP ECC skills as well as strong aptitude to continually develop an understanding of other financial systems. The role will also be involved in new Finance implementation projects in new APB Countries.

Your key responsibilities as a Financial Accountant will include;

*Posting and Reviewing daily transactional journals and month end accruals journals and schedules.
*Uploading and validating month end and budget financial reporting for Group Reporting and Group FP&A using Hyperion HFM and PBCS.
*Controlling and reviewing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
*Creation of Intercompany Recharge.
*Intercompany / Intergroup reconciliations and confirmations.
*Uploading and Reconciliation of all daily Bank and Cash files
*Completion of month end Internal Audit file and self-certification of key controls.
*Recording of month end Treasury Accounting for all entities.
*Finance support for Finance Directors of all the entities
*Completion of management KPI packs to brief the management team on company performance.
*Validation and explanation of cost centre reporting queries to cost centre managers.
*Ensuring Commercial Budget is fully captured and balanced in HFM.
*Preparation of finance budget schedules including P&Ls and profit analysis, along with writing commentary.
*Work with Head of Tax to facilitate all entities VAT / Equivalent returns on a regular basis.
*Review of Excise and Duty Compliance with FSSC Tax Accountant
*Ensure all external reporting requirements (e.g. ONS) are completed.
*Management of intercompany royalty agreements.
*Sign-off of intercompany royalty balances.
*Preparation/ review of statutory accounts.
*Liaise with external auditors.
*Mentoring and training a Part Qualified Accountant.
*Finance administrator of SAP B1 and associated add-ins.
*Subject Matter Expert for Concur, CaseWare, BlackLine, HFM Hyperion
*Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
*FSSC and SAPB1 rollout projects.
*Continuous Systems and process Improvements.

Your Ideal Background;

*Fluent in French
*Qualified Accountant with demonstrable previous promotions and increased responsibilities
*ERP (preferred SAP Business 1 and Hyperion HFM) knowledge with a real, provable aptitude for understanding, mastering and owning financial systems.
*Superior numeracy skills, advanced problem solving, excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with good excel modelling.
*Hands on process optimization and change management experience.
*Positive and proactive work ethic, with a 'can do’ and solution orientated attitude.
*Ability to build strong relationships, both within finance and the wider business.
